Why convert

Why convert SVG to PNG?

SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) is a powerful format for logos, icons, and illustrations — it scales to any size without losing quality. But SVG is not universally supported outside of browsers and design tools. Word documents, email clients, social media platforms, and most image viewers cannot display SVG files.

Converting SVG to PNG gives you a raster image that works everywhere. SnapConvert exports at 2× the SVG's original dimensions so your PNG stays crisp and sharp even on high-DPI / Retina displays.

📄

Use in documents

Send in emails

Email clients ignore SVG for security reasons. PNG displays inline in every email client including Outlook and Gmail.

🛒

Upload to platforms

E-commerce platforms, CMS tools, and social media reject SVG uploads. PNG is accepted everywhere.

SnapConvert exports your SVG at 2× the original dimensions as a lossless PNG, so the result is sharp and high-resolution. The only limitation is the SVG's original viewport size — if the SVG doesn't define dimensions, a default of 800×600 is used and scaled up 2×.
Yes! When you export to PNG, transparent areas in your SVG remain transparent in the output. If you export to JPG instead, transparent areas are filled with white.
Yes. Use the output format dropdown to select JPG. Note that JPG does not support transparency — any transparent areas will be filled white. JPG produces smaller file sizes than PNG, which is useful for photographs but not for graphics with transparency.
Yes! Drop up to 20 SVG files at once. Convert them all in one click and download individually or as a ZIP archive.
Yes. All conversion happens entirely in your browser. Your SVG files are never uploaded to any server, never stored, and never seen by anyone. SnapConvert has no backend — it is a purely client-side tool.
